With Grant Orb’s AI, you can write comprehensive reports in minutes. Follow these step-by-step instructions to create reports that will encourage donors to contribute again.

Step 1: Getting Started

Go to the app.grantorb.com and under the “Create” tab use the Grant Wizard. Select “grant report” from the drop-down menu.

Enter your project’s updates. Think of it as a brain dump – don’t worry about grammar or formatting.

Optionally, attach a file with your project notes. Then click “Create Outline”.

The grant wizard will use the information provided in the wizard to create a report outline

You can also directly fill in each section of the grant report outline instead of using the grant wizard. The grant wizard helps to auto create the outline based on a brief description of your project and the notes you attach in the wizard.

Step 2: Review and Adjust the Outline

The AI will use the information from the wizard and attached files to create a report outline. Read it carefully and make any necessary adjustments.

Attach your grant agreement/proposal so the AI can assess how your report aligns with your original promises. Make any needed changes and click “Create Grant Report”.

How to Update a Generated Grant Report

  1. Go to “Actions” on the top menu.

  2. Click “Update Proposal”.

  3. Make changes to the inputs of the sections you need to update.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the proposal and click “Create Grant Report”.

  5. You can make multiple updates to your proposal. All versions can be viewed on the top bar.

How to Export Your Report from Grant Orb

  1. Click the “Actions” button on the top menu.

  2. In the drop-down menu, choose either:

  • Copy text

  • Save as PDF

Additionally, every section of the grant report has an option to copy to clipboard.
