Catherine Donnelly Foundation
Catherine Donnelly Foundation Grants — Housing, Environment, Civic Engagement
About this grant
Funds systemic change across three streams: Housing, Environment, and Civic Engagement for Social Change (including adult education for marginalized populations). Two grant rounds per year — a Spring Round and a Fall Round — each opening with a Letter of Inquiry stage. Streams may be individually closed in a given round, so applicants must check which are accepting before writing.
Details verified from the funder's page on July 29, 2026. Always confirm the latest requirements on the official Catherine Donnelly Foundation page before submitting.
Who can apply
Canadian registered charities and qualified donees. The Foundation looks for participatory processes and, where possible, replicable projects. Each stream has its own exclusions — the Civic Engagement, Environment and Housing streams each publish a list of what they do not fund. The Foundation cannot offer extensions on due dates under any circumstances.
